Time to Change: Calderwood House
Calderwood House is a ten-bedroom hostel based in the Old Police Station, Egremont Main Street, supporting those that find themselves homeless or unemployment in the Copeland area.
Calderwood House provides en-suite bedrooms and round the clock support for up to three months. An Outreach Worker ensures each resident is assisted and encouraged to move forward to the next step in their lives.

This Grant enables the continued delivery of the emergency homeless hostel by supporting the salary costs of key members of the team for 3 years.
- 1 x FTE Hostel Operations Manager
- 9 x FTE Housing Recovery Workers
- 1 x FTE Admin & Management
In addition to which the grant will support a number of additional support services including:
- 1-2-1 support focusing on budgeting, move on accommodation, financial barriers, other support services based on individual need.
- Group sessions, providing workshops delivered by other partners and peer support.
- Engagement activities.
- Holistic support to residents.
- Outreach provision, holistic support to those who move on into independent living in the community, resolving issues/barriers that may impact on peoples housing.
