To design, commission and raise funds for the construction of a new play landscape and park on Seascale sea front.

The grant award was to create a unique, challenging and interesting play landscape for  toddlers to teens. To provide a designed landscape which would offer benefits to all members of the community, both children & adults. With a particular focus on creating an attractive and unique seafront to increase and enhance the quality of tourist visits to the village aa well as  providing an inclusive play facility for all ages and abilities.

The aim being to enhancing the provision for young people and families in this isolated area, creating opportunities for they to play, socially interact and develop in a safe environment.

Local schools were involved in creating ideas for the park as well as a bespoke art project to enhance the park and foster ownership amongst the children.

An area for social meeting and an outdoor classroom has been included.

The facilities also provided an opportunity assist in the economic support for local businesses in the village.
