The funding award has supported the final pieces of the ‘jigsaw’, that is, the final two capital phases on the site:
- The Enhancement of the biodiversity of the site through site wide planting of trees, hedges & wildflowers.
- Development of ‘Memorial/Learning to Grow Garden’ with the installation of raised beds for communal community growing.
A social and environmental project at the heart of the village of Distington. The community garden is dedicated to community growing with both communal and individual plots included and has engaged the whole community.
